"So who are Lamb Personnel anyway?"
Lamb Personnel is a boutique admin and office support recruitment agency with office locations in both SW London and Farnham, Surrey. The business was originally founded by Deborah Lamb in 2007 and has since then we have been supporting a wide range of clients across Middlesex, Surrey and the SW London areas. Our focus is on permanent and temporary hires across most office and now remote-based roles.
"Tell me a little about how you operate as a company?"
Well, we pride ourselves on providing the ‘personal touch’ whilst at the same time ensuring that only the most relevant and suitable candidates are introduced to our clients. The most important thing for us is to ensure that both parties (Client and Candidate) receive excellent service and attention. Many of our clients and candidates come to us via recommendations, so we absolutely appreciate the importance of providing and following an honest, focused and ethical approach to recruitment. As Lamb Personnel Ltd is a boutique agency, Deborah manages all of the client interactions. This way, we ensure that each and every one of our clients can be guaranteed ‘the personal touch'.
"As a smaller boutique recruitment agency, how are you different from the larger agencies?"
Obviously, Lamb Personnel is not going to have the same operational procedures and advantages as the larger agencies, however, we utilise different advantages afforded to us by way of our compact nimble size. For example, speed to hire; we can start working on requirements immediately. In fact, very often, we are already in contact with a strong candidate, who is looking for a career move. Also, a quick decision on rates or terms can be made immediately, and by Deborah who you will be speaking with. If the role is a niche position or a more senior or specialised role that requires a search, then we are happy to assist at the same rates and fees - our flat structure means that communication channels are short, and this is very beneficial when requiring a quick hire to address business challenges.
"How do you typically attract and manage candidates?"
We have an extensive network of candidates built up since our inception in 2007, and can index and search on CVs easily in our candidate database. We have access to all of the leading job boards and social channels, as would be expected, coupled with a strong network of contacts and local market knowledge. In addition, we utilise and network extensively on LinkedIn to search for candidates, especially for more senior or specialist roles. To facilitate effective management of our candidates, we have a leading applicant management system built on salesforce.com - where we can manage the candidate through each stage of the recruitment process and manage the recruitment cycle very efficiently.
"What kind of positions can you help us with?"
We help our clients find staff on a permanent, temporary, fixed-term or contract basis across general commercial office roles; positions such as Admin, PA, Office Support, Customer Service, HR & Finance, Accounts and Marketing and IT support
"How do you price?"
We operate on a contingency basis where the rate is calculated as a percentage of the candidate’s annual salary. We offer a 3-month sliding scale rebate or a free replacement in the unlikely event that the candidate doesn’t work out, and we are happy to put favourable terms in place for multiple ongoing hires. We will also offer reduced rates if we can have exclusivity to work on the position.
