IT Support Technician (Mid-Senior Level up to 32k)

Our client, a major international finance organisation is seeking an experienced  IT Technician to work across a range of business units, ensuring the various business systems are continually operating as efficiently as possible.  The role will be providing support across our client’s infrastructure, servers, desktops, ICT Systems, cloud services, networking, mobile devices and user access management systems.

You will also be responsible for supporting disaster recovery environments, implementing processes and procedures whilst ensuring various other IT systems within SLA are kept finely tuned, maintaining bespoke systems across the general IT Landscape, with the opportunity to work on ad-hoc and exciting projects on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our client’s systems and be able to provide support on a day to day basis.
  • Administer/ support MS environment including but not limited to; active directory, group policies and network resources.
  • Provide technical IT support to the Business on a day to day basis.
  • Work with various service providers to ensure smooth operation of IT and business systems.
  • Working with IP Telephony Provider (Avaya) to support and manage the system.
  • Monthly patching of Windows/ Intel servers.

Skills required:

  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages, Office 2010 and 2013
  • Strong Knowledge of networking principles.
  • Experience with cloud services such as MS O365 Exchange Online
  • A good eye for identifying and troubleshooting issues.
  • Comfortable with dealing with different parts of the business on a face to face basis.
  • Willingness to be flexible in work required
  • Support the business scope to meet its goals and aspirations.
  • Effective time management and ownership of own workload
  • Professional/presentable attitude

Salary: £28000 - £32000 Per Annum
